Ingredients
- 2 pkg’s yeast
- 1/3 cup of butter
- 5 1/2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk

Step 1
In large mixer bowl combine yeast, 1 ½ cups flour, cardamom and nutmeg. Heat butter, milk, sugar and salt until warm, stirring to melt butter, add to dry mixture, and add eggs.
Beat at low speed by hand stir in enough flour to make soft dough, turn onto lightly floured board, and knead until smooth 5 to 8 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl and cover, let rise until double (1 ¼ hrs. Punch down and let rest 10 minutes before shaping.
½ cup brown sugar ½ tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup of white sugar ½ cup of chopped nuts
1 T cinnamon
Rise 35 minutes
Bake at 350deg. For 20 to 25minutes
