Ingredients
- 4 (4-oz.) boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Water/oil mixture
- 2/3 cup chunky applesauce
- 2/3 cup spicy barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder

Preparation
Step 1
Sprinkle chicken with pepper. Coat a large skillet with a tight-fitting lid with water/oil mixture over medium-high heat; brown chicken on both sides. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover and simmer for 7 to 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Brown rice and steamed broccoli.
GLUTEN FREE: Make sure barbecue sauce is gluten free.
