Baked Figs with Manchego Cheese

Ingredients
- 12 ripe figs, halved lengthwise
- 1 to 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon crushed black peppercorns
- 1 cup grated manchego cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Lay the halved figs, cut side up, in a baking dish. Brush each lightly with balsamic vinegar, and sprinkle with black pepper and grated cheese.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until just cooked through. The cheese should be toasted on top. Serve immediately.
