Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. soda
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. buttermilk

Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter. Stir in milk and yeast. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter and bake at 400 degrees until lightly browned.
