Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 c. sifted flour
- Filling:
- 1 egg
- 3/4 - 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 T. soft margarine or butter
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2/3 - 3/4 c. pecans, chopped
- Dash salt

Step 1
Crust: Let cream cheese and butter warm to room temperature. Blend. Stir in flour. Chill about 1 hour. Shape into balls a little less than 1 inch in diameter. Place in ungreased mini-muffin tins. Press dough onto the bottom and sides forming pastry cups.
Filling: Beat eggs with sugar, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth. Divide half the nuts among the pastry cups. Top with filling and remaining nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool. Remove from pans.
