Ingredients
- 2.5 c milk
- 2/3 c sugar
- 4 T corn starch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 T butter

Step 1
Mix milk, sugar, salt, corn starch, egg yolks and cook til thick. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
FOR PEANUT BUTTER PIE:
add 1/2 c peanut butter when removed from heat
COCONUT:
add 1 c shredded coconut
BUTTERSCOTCH:
add some butterscotch oil
use brown sugar in place of white sugar and add 2T more butter.
CHOCOLATE:
add 1/2 c powdered cocoa when you put ingredients on to cook.
RAISIN CREAM:
add 1 c cooked, well drained raisins when mixture is cooked.
BANANA:
slice 2-3 bananas into baked pie shell,pour in filling and more bananas
LEMON PIE:
rind of 1 lg lemon, grated. 2T butter, juice of 1 lg lemon, more if desired. (For keylime use 5 T keylime juice.) Boil mixture 5 minutes. Add 3 egg yolks, beaten; 1/4 tsp salt and 1 3/4 c water. Mix together 1 c sugar and 2T corn starch and add to rest of mixture. Cook stirring constantly over low heat. When cooked to desired consistency pour into pie shell.
