Preparation
Step 1
Combine powdered sugar and peanut butter. Blend to reasonable course with hands. Spread 3/4 of mixture in bottom of pie shell. Set aside. *Heat 2 cups milk in medium saucepan over low heat. (Be careful not to scald) *While milk is heating, combine and blend together cornstarch, salt and sugar into a small bowl and set aside. *Take 3 eggs and separate yolks from whites. Set aside whites. *When milk is heated, add dry mixture of cornstarch, salt and sugar gradually. Stir continuously. Add beaten egg yolks. Then add butter and vanilla. Keep stirring until thick like pudding. Remove from heat and pour pudding into pie shell over peanut butter mixture. *Then preheat oven to 325 degrees. *Beat egg white in small bowl until stiff and standing. Spoon over pudding. *Sprinkle remaining peanut butter mixture over meringue. *Bake on cookie sheet for 20 minutes. I let cool and then refrigerate for two hours before serving for preferred taste.
