Mom's Hollywood Chili

Ingredients
- 2-1/2 lbs hamburger
- 1 lb pork
- 1/3 c williams chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 lg green peppers, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 T salad oil
- 1-1/2 T salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 3 lg onions, diced
- 5-6 c canned tomatoes - I use 4 14.5oz cans of diced tomatoes & chilis
- 1/4 c parsley - I might have used cilantro instead or just omitted
- 2 c beans - used 2 cans of pinto beans, rinsed
- 2 cans corn with liquid
- 1 T vinegar and 1T brown sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Saute onions, peppers, garlic and parsley or cilantro in salad oil. Saute meats. Drain grease. Add meat mixture to onion-pepper mixture and simmer a few minutes. Stir often. Place tomatoes, spices and onion-meat mixture in large kettle over low heat and simmer 1/2 hour. Add beans and cook 10 more minutes. Add 1 T brown sugar and 1 T vinegar.
Makes a large amount of soup for freezing!
