  • 8 pound's of peeled and sliced cucumbers
  • 6 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 1 cup of sunflower oil
  • 3 tbsp of pickling salt

Step 1

Mix everything together, let stand for about 2hours mixing occasionally.
Pack in to jars,
WB for 7 to 10 minutes in boiling water.
Yields about 10 pints.

This is just basic, simple recipe for cucumber salad.
If you want to add, different things to this, by all means make it your own.
You can add, onions, peppers, radishes, zucchini... and whatever strikes your fancy
You can add dill optionally, There isn't any in the recipe, but I like it so I added some.
You can also tweak vinegar, if you like more zingy, add more, you can also switch to balsamic vinegar if you like.
