Molasses Cookies

As a child growing up on the farm, my grandmother would make these cookies. I'm so glad I was able to get her recipe and make and remember how good they were.

Ingredients

• 1 Cup Sugar
• 3/4 Cup Shortening
• 1 Egg
• 2 Cups Flour
• 1 tsp Cinnamon
• 1 tsp Ground Cloves
• 1 tsp Ground Ginger
• 1 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/4 Cup Molasses

Step 1

Preheat oven 375

Mix together, make into balls the size of walnut, roll in sugar (I like to use Turbinado Sugar)

Bake for 12-15 minutes
