Filled Cookies

Ingredients

• Filling:
• 1 c. sugar
• 1 egg
• Salt to taste
• 2 1/2 c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 c. sour milk
• 1 scant tsp. soda
• 1/2 c. butter
• 1 c. raisins
• 1/2 c. sugar
• Salt
• Water (to thicken)

Preparation

Step 1

Crean sugar and butter. Add egg and beat. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add soda to sour milk. Add to creamed mixture. Roll dough and cut. Cook filling gand let cool while making cookie dough. Top each cookie with another cut out cookie. Pres top down around edges. Bake in moderate oven until done at 350 to 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
