Prune Rolls
By draingal
This is Aunt Marlene's recipe and always a winner at the holidays. (Get over the fact that it's made with prunes - look at them as dried plums -- gotcha thinking -- don't I?) This recipe makes 6 rolls.

Preparation
Step 1
Add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture, continually adding flour to make it workable - will be sticky - but keep adding flour and knead the dough. Yes, it takes some time - but work it and feel the burn!
Cut into 6 small rolls and knead each individually and let rise on floured kitchen towels (cover the tops as well). Let raise 18 minutes.
Roll out each roll (think small) on a floured towel. Fill with cooked prunes (or Apricot). Prick rolls with a fork. If you want a browned glaze look on your rolls - rub with egg yolk before baking. I do not.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 or so minutes. Rub rolls with margarine (or butter) immediately upon removing from oven.
