Ingredients

4 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 c. shortening
5 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and knead as you would bread dough. Mold into 3 loaves. Let stand overnight. Cut 1/4-inch thick. Bake in slow 300 degree oven for 8 to 9 minutes.
