Dad's Favorite Butterscotch Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 c. flour
• 1/2 tsp. soda
• 1 tsp. cream of tartar
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3/4 c. Parkay margarine
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 1/2 c. chopped med. fine walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix margarine and sugar until blended. Add egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients; add nuts. Roll into lengths (2 or 3) easy to handle in waxed paper. Refrigerate overnight; next day or 2 or 3 days lator, slice 1/8-inch and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Will spread so put no more than 12 to a pan. Do not grease pan.
