Ingredients

  • 16 serving Traditional Pizza Dough for the Zo, see recipe (Make 1 whole recipe)
  • 8 ounces pizza sauce
  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese, part skim milk, shredded
  • pepperoni, opt.
  • zero pt veggies, opt.

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place all ingredients for dough in bread pan, select dough setting, and press start.

2. When dough has risen long enough, the machine will beep. Turn off bread machine, remove bread pan, and turn dough out onto lightly floured countertop or cutting board. for the large recipe, cut dough in half. Wrap dough in plastic wrap that has been lightly coated with oil. Set aside to rest for 15 minutes. (With the Large recipe, it is not necessary to use both crusts at one time. At this point the extra dough can be placed in an oiled plastic bag and kept in the freezer or it can be refrigerated up to 3 days for later use)

3.Oil (Spray with cooking Spray) one or two 12" to 14" inch pizza pans to within 1 inch of the edge.

4. using a rolling pin, roll dough into a circle slightly smaller than the pan you plan to use. Place the dough on the pizza pan and gentlyy stretch it to fit. Shape dough to form a small rim.

5. Cover dough and let rise on the countertop for 20 to 30 minutes. Meanwhile pre-heat oven to 450` degrees F.

OR after the crusts have risen about 20 minutes what I usually do is pre-bake the crust for 5 to 7 minutes then top with toppings and cook another 5 to 7 minutes. You need to keep a careful watch cause they can go from perfect to burned in a minute. You need to know your oven to get it just right. Also if you have a convection oven like me - Don't use Convection for Pizza because if you do, the toppings will get done long before the crust- Learned from experience. So it is best to bake pizza using regular bake and not convection.

6. Spread half the tomato sauce on each pizza and half (8oz) of the cheese on each pizza, then spread any other toppings of your choice on pizza and bake on middleshelf of oven for 15 to 20 minutes or 5 to 7 minutes if you have pre-baked the crust.

(Note: ** adding zero pt veggie toppings will not increase the pts obviously. If you put 1.5 oz turkey sausage on each pizza, the points will still be the same. If you use 1.5 oz regular pepperoni on each pizza the points will increase to 6pts per slice)

7. Remove from oven and serve warm.
