Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. lard
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 level tsp. soda
1/2 c. hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, lard, flour, sour milk, cocoa and vanilla. Add water with soda in it. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes in layers or 50 to 60 minutes loaf baking pan.
