Ingredients
- Dough:
- 1/2 c. sweet butter
- 5 T. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- Dash salt
- Filling:
- 1/2 c. sweet butter
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 T. sugar
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1/2 lb. pecans, chipped
- 3 T. whipping cream

Step 1
Cream butter, sugar and shortening until smooth. Add egg; blend. Add remaining ingredients and mix until just blended. Do not overmix. Pat dough into 13 x 9-inch jelly roll pan. Prick with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and honey. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, without stirring. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans and whipping cream. Spread filling over prebaked pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes until it is done and filling is lightly brown on top. Cut in squares to serve.
