Ingredients
- Dumplings:
- Sauce;
- 4 T. butter or oleo
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. sugar
- Dash salt
- 2 T. butter
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Combine butter and sugar with water in a deep saucepan over low heat until sugar and butter melts. Turn up heat until mixutre bubbles. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Mix in butter with a fork. Stir in milk and vanilla (Bisquick can be used). Drop from a spoon into bubbling sauce. Reduce heat and cover with tight fitting lid and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Don't peek until done.
