Ingredients

  • 1 box shells
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/4 cup chardonnay
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons cheese wiz
  • 2 cups cheddar jack
  • 2 About 2 cups chopped ham

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta 2 minutes shy of the directions.
Melt butter in pan and sauté onions 3-4 minutes then add chardonnay to pan and cook an additional 2 minutes. Add flour to make a roux, cook that for about 2 minutes. Slowly add the chicken broth and milk stirring while you add so you don't get lumps. Cook that mixture for 8-10 minutes on medium heat stirring occasionally . Add cheeses and stir until melted. Add the ham and pasta and stir together. Put in baking dish and top with bread crumbs, bake at 375 for about half hour, or until brown and bubbly
