Spanish Tomato Rice

Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 1 lb. can tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- dash pepper

Preparation
Step 1
In a 10 in. skillet, cook bacon till crisp; remove. Pour off half the fat. In remaining fat, cook onions and green pepper till tender but not brown.
Add one 1 lb. can tomatoes, water, rice, chili sauce, salt, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce and pepper. Cover and simmer 35 to 40 min. Crumble bacon on top.
