  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground round
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 tbs. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbs. Worcestersshire sauce
  • 2 tbs. sugar
  • 1 cup water


Servings 6


Step 1

Brown the beef in a large stock pot, then drain off the fat. add the onion, green pepper and garlic. Saute until the onion is tender. add the tomto sauce, stewed tomatoes, seasonings and water. Simmer for 30 minutes. Let cool.

The sauce will keep for several days covered and refigerated.

Serve with spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
