Ingredients

  • 2 cups olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs eye round steak
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup mango chutney
  • 1 tbsp steak sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Line plate with layers of paper towel. Heat oil over medium-high for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, cut steak into 1/2-inch thick strips.

2. When oil starts to shimmer, add 1/3 of steak strips. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon to prepared plate. Briefly allow oil to reheat; repeat twice with remaining strips.

3. Meanwhile, in small serving bowl, stir together ketchup, mango chutney, chili sauce, steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.

4. Place bowl on serving platter; arrange steak strips around bowl. Serve immediately.
