Ingredients

  • CORNSTARCH MIXTURE:
  • 3 large chicken breasts, boneless, skinless cut into cubes
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • SAUCE:
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1/8 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sauce ingredients in med-large bowl.

Heat olive oil (enough to coat generously) in large skillet on medium heat.

Mix cornstarch ingredients together in a large bowl until it resembles creamy peanut butter. Add chicken pieces to cornstarch mixture, coating evenly.

Turn heat up to med-high heat. Using a fork, allow excess to drip off. Fry chicken in skillet until golden brown turning to cook evenly.
Drain chicken on paper towel.

Add green onions and cook for about 30-45 seconds. Add sauce mixture to skillet and cook until thickened. Add Chicken to sauce and mix thoroughly, cooking an extra 2 minutes.
