Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1 cup raspberry preserves
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1.5 tsp cloves
- 1.4 tsp salt
- 1 cup ground nuts

Step 1
cream margarine add sugar slowly. Add egg yolks one at a time. mix and sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Add to margarine , stir in nuts. Mix and chill. Pat 2/3 of the dough into a 9’ layer pan. Spread preserves. Roll our remaining dough and cut into ¾’ strips.
Bake in moderate oven 50-60 minutes or until edge of strips recede from sides of pan.
Remove from pan and cool and serve.
