Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sweet Italian sausage
- 1 15-ounce can pizza sauce
- 2 16.3-ounce tubes of large refrigerated biscuits
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- grated Parmesan cheese, to garnish

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage and drain, if necessary. Remove from heat and stir in pizza sauce.
In a greased 9x13 pan, tear biscuits into quarters and place in a single layer. and bake for 5 minutes.
Remove biscuits from oven and top evenly with sausage mixture, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and pepperoni. Bake for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to substitute your favorite ingredients - beef for Italian sausage, Canadian bacon for pepperoni, different vegetables - the possibilities are endless!
