HOT FUDGE PUDDING CAKE

A recipe I got from a Milk Calender many years ago... a great comfort food recipe!!

Ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 1/2 cup cocoa, divided
• 1/2 cup cold milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups hot milk

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, baking powder and salt.

Combine butter and 1/4 cup of cocoa. Add to dry ingredients along with 1/2 cup of milk and vanilla. Mix well and spread into a greased 13" x 9" pan.

Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar, remaining 1/4 cup cocoa and spinkle over batter.

Carefully pour 2 1/2 cups of hot milk over all - do not stir.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Top with ice cream or whipping cream.
