Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 cups butter, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 3/4 cups plus 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup egg whites (unbeaten)
- 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream (unbeaten)

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Beat together sugar and butter with electric mixer at high speed until creamy. Add vanilla.
Stir together flour, cornstarch and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Add egg whites and cream, stirring just until combined. Drop from a scoop (about 1/3 cup) onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake just until done and set, 15 to 18 min. Cookies are done before edges begin to brown.
Note: If you want to roll out dough and cut into shapes with cookie cutters, increase flour to 7 cups. Small cookies require a shorter baking time.
