Ingredients

  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 4 c water
  • 1 lb potatoes, pared and chopped
  • 1/2 med onion, chopped
  • 2 cans (4 oz each) mushroom pieces, drained (optional)
  • 1 envelope dry low-sodium onion soup mix
  • 1 can (16 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • (maybe some cabbage, too)

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef in nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.

Cover. Cook on low 8 hours

Per serving:
200 cal, 14 g protein, 22 g crab, 5 g fat, 2 g sat fat, 20 mg cholesterol, 3 g fiber, 1,239 mg sodium.
