Savory French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
- 6 everything bagels
- 8 eggs
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, cubed
- 8 oz pork sausage, cooked and drained
- 1-1/2 c sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1-1/2 c milk
- 1 c heavy cream
- 1 c heavy cream
- 3 Tbsp fresh chives
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Step 1
Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Cut bagels into small cubes and spread out along the bottom of baking dish, then layer cooked sausage on top.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream and chives, then season with salt and pepper.
Pour egg mixture over the baking dish, then place cubed cream cheese pieces evenly across the bagels.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly on top, then cover with foil. Optional, refregerate casserole for 2-8 hours, or overnight.
Preheat oven to 450º and bake casserole, covered, for 40 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Remove from oven and serve hot.
