Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1/4 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 + cups sr flour to use on counter

Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients, cut in Crisco & butter, pour in milk, stirring until all is moist.
Work dough into floured surface, kneading until dough comes up after poking with finger. Cut into biscuits and bake at 450 to 475* for approximately 5-7 minutes – longer if not going to save until later. Freezes well.
