Ingredients
- 1/2 lb lard
- 1 lb prunes
- 1 lb raisins
- 1/2 lb currants
- 1/2 lb mixed fruit
- 1/2 lb mixed peel
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 oz almonds
- 4 eggs

Preparation
Step 1
Cream lard and sugar, add eggs. Add flour & spices, alt. with milk & lemon juice. Mix in fruit.
Grease bowls with shortening, add pudding, and cover with wax paper & cloth. Steam for 2.5-3 hr (small), 4-5 hr (large). Put on rack.
Makes 3 good sized puddings.
