  • VB Butter Tarts
  • 1 cup butter cream in mixer with wisp
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup Currents
  • Shell ingredients (sweet dough):
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 pkg crisco
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Filling:
Add 1 egg at a time and beat all ingredients. Beat for couple minutes.
Add WC and vanilla – mix thoroughly
Add vurrents to mixture.

Cook on top of stove, on low watching closely.
Pie shell Ingredients:
Mix with wisp until ingredients hold together.
In an 8 oz cup, mix vinegar and egg and fill with water.

Change to dough hook. Add liquid mixture slowly to the dough mixture and beat until thoroughly mixed. Test dough to see if it is ready to roll (must be able to form ball).

To roll out the dough, sprinkle flour on the mat. Roll out until approx 1/8” thick. Use glass coffee cup for your print.

Makes 24 tarts.
Cook at 400° for 10 minutes and then start checking.
