Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped and salted
  • 1 1/2 # ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 c celery, chopped
  • 1 small bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 6oz, can tomato soup
  • 1 8oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c uncooked rice

Step 1

Lightly grease 9x13 baking dish.Layer chopped cabbage on bottom. Brown meat, add onion, celery and pepper. Cook for several minutes until wilted. Add seasonings, rice soup, tomatoes, and cheese. Pour over cabbage. Cover and Place on a cookie sheet to avoid splatter. Bake 350* for 1 hour 15 minutes. Uncover and continue baking 10 more minutes.
