Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces ground beef
- 1/2 cup red onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons harissa (store-bought)
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Preparation
Step 1
Place a large sauté pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and beef, and season with salt and pepper. Cook beef until browned, breaking up with wooden spoon or potato masher, about 8 minutes. Add the onion and pine nuts, and cook until the onions are translucent and the pine nuts are toasted, 4 minutes. Add the harissa and stir to combine. Remove from heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. All to cool completely.
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Roll out dough onto flat work surface. Cut dough into 8 squares. Spoon 2 tablespoons of beef mixture on the wide end of each square. Bring the corners together, creating a triangle. Place filled puffs on ungreased baking sheets, 2-inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes on sheet tray before serving.
