Ingredients
- Meringue shell:
- 2 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- Filling:
- 1 pkg. Baker's German sweet Chcolate
- 3 T. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. heavy cream

Preparation
Step 1
Beat egg whites with crema of tarter and salt until foamy. Add sugar gradually until meringue is very stiff. Fold in nuts and vanilla and spread in a greased 8-inch pie pan, building up sides 1/2-inch above edges of plate. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes in 300 degree oven. Cool completely before filling. Filling: Whip cream until stiff. Melt chcolate in water over low heat or microwave. Cool until thickened. Add vanilla. Fold into whipped cream and pile in shell. Cool for 2 hours.
