Ingredients
- Frosting Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
- 8 oz of cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 cups of milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup of cinnamon baking chips (Looking in the baking aisle for Hershey's cinnamon chips)
- 1 stick or 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 container thawed cool whip topping
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 TBS. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- For a twist you can add chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for garnish.

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare a cupcake pan with liners and set aside. Blend butter, cream cheese and sugar until smooth with an electric mixer. Add each egg slowly and add vanilla extract. Mix in baking powder and salt. Alternate adding milk and flour. Scrape the sides of the mixing bowl. Lastly, fold in the cinnamon chips.
For the frosting, add all of the frosting ingredients together adding the the powdered sugar last.
Mix all of the ingredients until a smooth and fluffy consistency. Top cupcakes once they are cooled. Garnish with chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
