Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (28-oz) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt (opt)
  • 1 T. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper (opt)
  • 1 lb. mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked

Preparation

Step 1

Brown hamburger. Drain. Add garlic, tomato sauce, tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook noodles in boiling water until tender. Place 3 noodles in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Next, add mozzarella cheese, meat sauce and Parmesan cheese. Do this step 2 more times. End with a layer of meat sauce topped with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.
