Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked macaroni
  • 2 c. grated cheddar or longhorn cheese
  • 1 tube soda crackers
  • 1 (12-oz.) can Carnation milk
  • 1 scant tsp. salt
  • 2 qt. saucepan
  • 1 (8 x 8 x 2-inch) baking dish

Step 1

Add q scant teaspoon to salt to water in 2-quart saucepan. Bring to boil. Add macaroni and cook until tender. Drain and in buttered baking dish, but a layer of hand crushed soda crackers, a layer of grated cheese and a layer of cooked macaroni. Continue layering ingredients until you end with crakcers on top. Add some pieces of butter/oleo on top. Pour 1 can of Carnation all over until all is used. Bake at 350 until lightly browned and all cheese and milk have quit being runny. Remove after 30 to 35 minutes and serve.
