Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk Chunky Prego spaghetti sauce
- 8 to 12 oz. grated mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni
- Parmesan cheese
- 1 sm. chopped onion
- 1 sm. chopped green pepper
- 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
- Sliced black olives
- 1 lb. Italian sausage

Step 1
Sift dry ingredients together into bowl. Cut in shortening until like coarse crumbs. Make a well; add milk all at once. Stir quickly with fork until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn dough onto floured surface. Knead gently for 10 to 20 strokes. Roll out to fit 9 x 13-inch pan up the side 1 to 2 inches. Spread sauce over the crust, not too much, just a good coating. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, a solid dusting of grated Parmesan, a solid layer of pepperoni, a layer of lightly sauteed onion, green pepper, mushrooms and sliced black olives. Cook for 45 minutes at 350. Then top with 4 to 8 ounces grated mozzarella cheese and a dusting of Parmesan cheese.
