Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 oz sliced mozzarella cheese

Step 1

Break spaghetti in half and cook until al dente. Drain. Combine with eggs and parmesan cheese. Press into bottom and sides of a well-greased 10" pie plate. Saute onion in margarine. Mix with sour cream and spread over crust. At the same time, brown beef in large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 min, stirring occasionally. Spoon over sour cream mixture. (Cover with foil and freeze. Attach cheese slices in bag to side of dish.) Bake pie uncovered in 350°F oven for 25 min. Arrange cheese slices on top, return to oven until cheese melts.
Can use 9"x13" pan and 1 1/2 - 2 times the recipe. Can use spaghetti sauce instead of beef mixture.
