Slow-Cooker Swiss Steak

This delicious swiss steak is wonderful served with mashed potatoes and the vegetable of your choice! It turns out incredibly tender!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds round steak (1/2 inch thick)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10-ounce) package frozen diced onion, red and green bell pepper, and celery, thawed (1/2 cup each of fresh may be substituted)
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (24 -ounce) container of home-style mashed potatoes
- Fresh green beans, or other favorite veggie

Preparation
Step 1
1. If not already done, cut steak into serving-size pieces. In a zip-lock bag, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Add steak to the bag and shake.
2. In a 5-quart slow cooker, place diced onion, red and green bell pepper, and celery and tomatoes; place steak on top of vegetables. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 7 hours, or until steak is tender.
3. Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables!!
