Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3 oz unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 2 cup flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 - 7 tablespoon milk
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1

CAKE: Combine water, butter, & 1 1/2 oz of chocolate in sauce pan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Stir in flour & sugar; add eggs, sour cream, soda & salt. Mix well by hand. Pour into greased 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" jelly roll pan. Bake @ 375' for 20 - 25 minutes.

ICING: Bring butter, milk, and 1 1/2 oz chocolate to a boil. Remove from heat; add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat with mixer until smooth. Frost cake while still warm.
