Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup boiling water
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3-3 1/2 cups sifted icing sugar
- 1/3 cup light cream
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- Glaze:
- 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 Tbsp strong coffee
- 3 Tbsp butter, softened

Step 1
Cake: Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter, sugar and eggs on medium speed of electric mixer until light (5 minutes). Beat in vanilla and melted chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing lightly until smooth. Stir in boiling water. (Batter will be thin.) Pour into 2 greased 9" round cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30-35 min, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 min, remove from pans, cool completely.
Filling: Beat all ingredients together with electric mixer until light and fluffy. If necessary, add a little more icing sugar or cream to make a spreading consistency. Spread some filling between cake layers. Spread side of cake with remaining filling. Chill 30 minutes.
Glaze: Melt chocolate in coffee over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Gradually add butter, blending until smooth. Spread over top of cake, letting it drizzle down sides.
