Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or cutlets
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced carrots
  • 6 sweet potato medallions
  • 3 tblsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tblsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger (fresh is better but dried will work)
  • 1 green onion, cut into slivers

Preparation

Step 1

Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and ginger with chicken breasts and marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.

Place the broccoli, sweet potatoes and carrots on cabbage leaves in the bottom basket of the top steamer.

Place the marinated chicken breasts on the green onions on a plate in the bottom basket.

Place entire unit over steam pot and steam for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is completely done.

Serve on a bed of white rice.
