Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups thinly sliced onions ( 2 large)
  • 2- 14 oz. cans beef broth
  • 1/4 cup sherry or dry white wine (NO)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Sliced French bread or croutons
  • Sliced or shredded swiss cheese
  • Quadruple recipe at least

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan melt butter and cook onions with lid on stirring, until soft.
Remove lid and cook, stirring constantly until brown.
Place all other ingredients in crockpot, add onions when done. Cook for several hours.
Top with bread and cheese, serve and enjoy.
