Ingredients
- Syrup:
- 1 med. head cabbage
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 fine chopped green pepper
- 1 c. fine chopped celery
- Salt to taste
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. mustard seed

Preparation
Step 1
Shred cabbage, add salt and let stand for 1 hour. Squeeze well, then add carrot, pepper and celery. Mix syrup ingredients and boil for a minute. Cool to lukewarm or cold and pour over cabbage mixture.
Can be kept in refrigerator for several days.
