Ingredients
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup any flavor jam, my favorite is Raspberry

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch square pan. Combine brown sugar, flour, baking soda, salt and oatmeal in bowl. Add softened butter and work in with a fork to form a crumbly mixture. Press 2 cups of the mixture into the bottom of pan. Spread jam tin within 1/4 inch of edge of pan over the oatmeal mixture. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over top of jam and lightly press it into the jam.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
