Ingredients
- 6 cups strawberries,sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 pkg sara lee pound cake,cut into 12 slices
- 3 cups cool whip,thawed

Preparation
Step 1
-Toss strawberries with sugar;let stand 10 min. or until sugar is dissolved
-Meanwhile cut each slice of cake in half horizontally
-Place 1 cake piece on each of 12 dessert plates
-Spoon about 1/4 cup of the strawberries over each cake piece;top with 2 tbsp of the whipped topping
-Repeat layers
GREAT SUBSTITUTE:
To create a chocolate strawberry shortcut,substitute bakers one bowl brownies,using 1 square per serving for pound cake.Slice brownies in half and assemble as above
