In a metal bowl, set over a pan of barely simmering water, melt the chocolate and the butter, stirring until the mix is smooth, then remove the bowl from the heat and allow the mixture to cool a little. Stir in the sugar and the vanilla and add the eggs. Stir in the salt and the flour, stirring until the mixture is just combined.

Pour the batter into a well buttered and floured into a 12x17 inch baking pan (or 2 9x13s), and bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes. Let it cool before cutting it into squares.
