Ingredients
- 4 slices chopped center cut bacon
- 1 c finely chopped onion
- 2 TB white miso (soybean paste)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 c unsalted chicken stock
- 1.5 TB maple syrup
- 1 TB chopped canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
- 1.5 tsp cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 3 (15 oz) cans unsalted navy or great northern beans
- 1 (8 oz) can unsalted tomato sauce

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Cook bacon in oven safe skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove bacon from drippings.
Add onion to drippings and cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add miso and garlic, cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in stock and remaining ingredients; bring to a simmer.
Place pan in oven and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until sauce is thick. Sprinkle with bacon.
